Fritz is often attached to nostalgic memories from childhood, involving a simple sandwich with tomato sauce. This baguette is the adult version of this classic and simply by grilling the fritz its potential applications become endless.
Tip: BBQ the Fritz slices instead of the grill for great flavour!
1 tablespoon garlic infused olive oil
350g Adelaide Hills Fine Foods Fritz, sliced into 3mm thick rounds
4 half baguettes, halved lengthways
½ cup tomato relish
1 avocado, deseeded and sliced
1 ½ cups baby spinach
- Heat a chargrill pan over a high heat.
- Brush Fritz slices with oil and place in preheated pan for 3 minutes each side or until golden. Repeat process with remaining fritz.
- Spread ¼ of the tomato relish on each baguette and top with the grilled fritz, avocado and baby spinach.
