Skara Wood Smoked Mediterranean Prosciutto

It may come as no surprise our favourite way to have asparagus is to wrap lovingly with prosciutto. This recipe makes the perfect side or appetiser, showcasing this Croatian style deli meat smoked the traditional way. Tip: Rinse the asparagus and pat dry  to ensure maximum crisp factor!

Ingredients

  • 6 slices Skara Wood Smoked Mediterranean Prosciutto, sliced in half
  • 12 fresh asparagus spears, woody ends removed
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180˚C.
  2. Wrap prosciutto diagonally down each asparagus spear, starting from just below the head.
  3. Place wrapped stalks on lined baking tray, then drizzle with maple syrup.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes, or until prosciutto begins to crisp.
