Burger Patty Ingredients
- 500g beef mince
- 1 egg
- ¾ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 ½ tbsp French onion soup mix
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1-2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
Ingredients
- 1 Packet Skara Dry Cured Bacon
- 4 burger buns, lightly toasted and buttered
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 2-4 lettuce leaves, roughly chopped
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
Optional Extras
- 4 tbsp tomato sauce, or
- 4 tbsp aioli, or
- 4 tbsp mustard
Method
- Add patty ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
- Mould one handful of mixture into a flat 10 cm circle approx 2 cm thick.
- Heat oil in a large frypan over medium high heat. Cook patties for a few minutes per side until golden-browned and cooked through.
- Place cheese slices over each patty and allow to melt slightly, then remove from pan. Cook the bacon slices in a separate pan over medium high heat for a few minutes until each side until cooked. (Dry Cured Bacon is best when not cooked until crisp)
- To assemble burgers, layer toasted buns with aioli, lettuce, tomato, beef and cheese patties and Skara Dry Cured bacon.
- Serve immediately.
